I’m thinking about buying and I would only look at used. I do not want a brand new vehicle. Which vehicle will I have the least issues with? Better on gas? More reliable? The Santa Fe is pleasant and has a small, optional third-row seat. The standard 2.7-liter V6 does an acceptable job, but the optional 3.3-liter V6 is more powerful and refined. The five-speed automatic is slick and responsive. Electronic stability control and curtain air bags are standard. The Santa Fe is roomy and quiet with fairly quick steering response, making it more agile than the last model. We found the ride compliant and well controlled. The seats are comfortable, but head room is a bit tight for tall drivers. The interior is very well finished.

A: My best friend has a 2010 Ford Edge. He now has 17,000 miles on it with no trouble, he told me he got 17-18 mpg traveling at a steady 70 to 75 miles per hour speed. He considered that good mileage considering he was on an interstate driving high speed. Do make the effort to bend down and look far underneath the car at the frame, axil, and where the wheels connect. Many fords to this day still rust under there much too quickly. They will tell you this is normal. But it is because Ford uses little undercoating, and what they use is cheaply done. My new 2010 Ford Focus has lots of rust under there–they told me it was normal. But my old Toyota, which was 11 years old…had 0 rust…even after 11 years.

A: Look for a wrecked one. Of course its not going to be the same as a non wrecked one but it will be cheaper.

there is a button to turn traction control on/off. i push it and a traction control symbol lights up on the gages in orange. does this mean that the traction control is off or on?

A: I can’t say about the s10. My 2000 ranger 4×4 gets 15-20 mpg and has had zero problems in 99,000 miles.
