Q: How to reset the Engine Oil Life Display on a 2007 Honda CR-V vehicle?
I tried following the steps of my Honda Owner’s Manual, but to no avail.
A: push and hold the trip reset button on the dash then turn your key on continue to hold until light goes out
Q: Do you know if the 2008 Honda CR-V comes with a DVD entertainment system?
I’m considering purchasing a new vehicle. I had my eye on the CR-V for a while…but I was wondering if you can order one with a built-in DVD entertainment system. I know you can buy one for the Mazda CX-7 as an accessory. I think it’d be good because I have a son who’s becoming a toddler and videos can entertain him while seating in his chair.
A: we have an 08cr-v. it does not have that as an option. i have seen the type that hang between the bucket seats for sale at kmart and such. maybe that would do it for you.
you will like the cr-v; it is a good car.
Q: Taking a roadtrip with 5 adults in a 2000 Honda CR-V?
Is there anyone with a Honda CR-V that has taken a roadtrip with 4 or 5 adults? I’m wondering if my car will be able to handle the weight of all of us plus our luggage. We’re all pretty small, largest person about 170 pounds.
A: if its a 2000,
it should have a b20 block, which is a pretty strong last engine, i suggest you put a b16 vtec head on it.
but as for everything else, a crv is a small car, its just basically a raised honda accord hatchback, its a car, not a SUV (which is commonly mistaken)
Q: The Honda CR-V: How did it get its name? Do the initials stand for anything?
CR-V must have some meaning. What does it mean?
A: The Honda CR-V is a compact crossover SUV manufactured by the Japanese automaker Honda since 1996. It was loosely derived from the Honda Civic to satisfy a public demand for a sport-utility vehicle from Honda. There are discrepancies as to what “CR-V” stands for, with Honda sources in different markets citing different meanings. Though Honda sales literature in UK reportedly makes references to “Compact Recreational Vehicle”, other Honda references (including the official Honda Japan CR-V Fact Book and Honda Worldwide) cite “Comfortable Runabout Vehicle”.
and also for a little side knowledge The name “CR-X” and what its acronym stands for is widely disputed, the most popular being “Civic Renaissance model X”.
Q: How to fold the Honda CR-V outside side mirrors to fit in garage?
2010 Honda CR-V LX
A: Put your hand on the back of the mirror and push it towards the car/window.
Q: How much is the Honda CR-V in Japan or Europe ?
I love the new CR-V, but there is a big difference in Japan and Europe vs the US version. How can I get the International version in the US.
A: Not sure of the price but I do know that is much cheaper here in the U. S.
Q: Where can i find the lowest financing for 2007 honda CR-V?
Im in the tri state area looking to finance a honda 2007 CR-V can anyone please help
A: Your best bet would be to talk to the bank you have had an account with for a long period of time. Better yet would be a credit union. Improving your credit can also help find a better interest rate on financing.
Q: How much gas would a Honda Cr-v use (14 miles to the gallon) for a 730 mile trip?
Im not sure how big the tank is but I want to say around 12-14 gallons. It gets roughly 14 miles to the gallon. Can you tell me how many gallons of gas I will be using and roughly how much it might cost over 730 miles? Thanks!
A: 730 miles at 14 mpg = 52.2 gallons (approximately)
52.2 gallons at $3.25 per gallon = $169.65
Q: Anyone know of a discount/rebate/incentive on a 2008 Honda CR-V LX ?
Looking to buy a new 2008 Honda CR-V Lx 2WD. I believe sometimes the manufacturer gives a rebate or discount on these or gives incentives to the customer or dealer. Anyone know of these – we’re in Texas.
A: I bought a cr-v a year and a half ago, honda is very stingy when it comes to rebates. we went through the costco buying program and saved a little over 1000.00. I have never seen rebates on the cr-v from the dealer so if the costco auto buying program is an option try that, other wise you may have to negotiate the destination fees and some other fees that they include in the sticker to get a better price. good luck we love our cr-v, great car good gas mileage.
Q: How can I remove a paint scratch from my black honda cr-v?
I want to remove it without messing up the car’s original paint.
A: use a scratch remover and then follow it up with a wax. The scratch remover will strip away a small amount of paint and cover up the scratch. FOLLOW the directions on the bottle exactly. If it is a real bad scratch, then get some touch up paint. Good Luck
Q: What kind of gasoline should I use for my 2003 Honda CR-V?
Does it matter what type of gasoline I use for my car? I heard that I should use premium but I’m not sure if it is neccessary. Could I use regular? I would perfer to use regular because it’s cheaper but if premium is better for my car, I’ll be willing to use it too.
A: A 2003 Honda CR-V will run fine on regular gas. That is the manufacturer recommendation on the CR-V. This is because its not a high performance engine, so higher octane wont do anything for it. So save some money and just keep filling regular. If however you feel like the car is acting weird on regular gasoline (pings, knocks, etc) try putting in the mid-grade. I have 4 Honda’s and 3 of them only need regular gasoline, but i run mid-grade because it seems to make the cars run a little better and i notice almost zero knocks and pings. Your fine running on regular (87 octane) in a CR-V!
Q: What is the difference between the 2008 Honda CR-V and the 2009 Honda CR-V?
I want to know the difference betwwen the 2008 and 2009 LX models only, please.
A: No big changes for the CR-V this year. You should be expecting a mid model makeover next year.
This year they did add another color “Urban Titanium Metallic”.
Q: Can i convert a Honda CR-V ‘98′ to gas and with 198000ks on the clock, is it worth the risk?
I am considering converting my Honda to gas, as i like having a bigger car just not the fuel bill. Is it possible or even worth it to convert to gas? I have 198,000 ks on the clock, and i expect to own the car for another 5 years. Also in terms of filling up. I spend $80 to fill up on petrol, how much would i expect to pay for gas per week.
A: what ??? this question makes no sense..
petrol is UK for gas…and gas IS gas…so what you’re asking is how to convert a gas powered SUV into a gas powered SUV…
Q: Where is the pivot bolt and lock nut of the idler pulley for the air conditioner belt on a 2001 honda CR-V?
Please help…we are almost done changing the torn belts on our car. Since we can’t afford to have them done we are doing it ourselves-fun. Can you please help us with how to release the tension on the air conditioner belt.
Thank you
Oh and a competely random question… what is Honda part pp-GF30 for?
A: If it doesn’t use a serpentine belt then it will look something like this http://i713.photobucket.com/albums/ww136/hondahien/IMG00048-20090512-0900.jpg
Loosen the nut in front of the pulley (can’t see in the picture). Next, loosen the long bolt. From the picture, looks like a 12mm deep socket. This long bolt when tightened will bring the pulley up increasing the tension on the belt.
There are 4 bolts holding the AC compressor. There is no need to touch those.
