A: There are two mufflers on that vehicle. So consider that in the cost. If you do get new mufflers save the old ones. Some restoration person will want them some day. My advise would be to not change out the mufflers actually. They are plenty throaty as they are. Flowmaster and Dynamax are good brands however.

A: put a small block 318 in the 72 if you want it to be cheaper to drive and add a hemi to the challenger,if you wanted more speed and power from the Challenger you should have bought the hemi to start with ,swapping engines in it is going to be really expensive,good luck.

A: yes the 3.5 is actually a lot better engine for reliability than the hemi engine is in those cars,they been using the 3.5 for a while now in other cars and it performs good for what it is,no noe can say for sure on the challenger though because they haven’t been out long enough for any of them to actually give that many problems,a car only last as good as its owner takes care of it and does good maintenance to it, haven’t seen many of them give many problems though,the only complaint you ever hear about them is the lack of power,the ben eal good int the chargers,and its basically the same exact engine in them,i kind of like the room under the hood with the v-6 option it make it not as hard to get to things on it when maintaining it,good luck

WITH CAMS ,HEARDERS,BORED 30,40,60, TRIPLE CUT VALVES,,MILLER HEADS ECT. THE BEST I EVER GOT WAS 146 IAN THE QUARTER MILE AT10.4SEC.THE MOTOR WAS IN A 69 CHARGER WITH STOCK REAR 3.91 CAR WEIGHT ABOUT 3600 SO WITH YOURS,BONE STOCK NOT BAD BUT NOT GREAT IN YOUR HEAVY CAR WITH STOCK GEARS GO TO A 4.13 REAR GEAR AND YOU WOULD SEE A BIG CHANGE.BUT YOU WILL USE MORE GAS AS A EVERYDAY DRIVER.BESIDES YOU HAVE A VERY RARE CAR. TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT, DONT RACE IT!

A: I seriously doubt it’ll only come with the big engines. This is a niche product from a company that has some financial issues, so they will need to make it available to different segments of the market. Consider the Mustang, which comes in V6 and V8 form – same thing.
I believe it’ll come out early in ‘08 as an ‘09 model.

The Challenger is American Muscle…reliability is unknown. Not really a luxury vehicle.
If nice means comfort to you, it’s the Land Rover.

my first car owned, im turning 18. but I dont thrive for speed. I would rather cruise thats why I prefer the SE version over the other ones
A: if your not looking for speed just pleasure you,ll enjoy driving the challenger,its a good car and that’s not a bad choice on it because the insurance is about half of what it is on a hemi car,its the looks your going after not the speed part of it then get it,i always tell people to buy what they want not what other people recommend,good luck
